Dad wanted to spend his birthday working on his plane so we didn’t have any family get togethers planned. After much deliberating, Amy decided that we should go to Cal Expo to watch the fireworks. I was a bit reluctant at first but it turned out to be a really fun time. The group of people in front of us brought about 50 bags of exploding snaps that they were willing to share with the boys. Later they brought out watermelon slices for all the kids. They topped it all off with Sunny Delight! It was refreshing to see that kind of generosity. It made Amy and I vow to do it next year. With any luck we’ll be able to. The fireworks were fantastic too!
